There is nothing of outstanding interest in Dalmellington's modern cemetery situated on the hill above the 'Kirk of the Covenant', although the accidental death of father and son miners in Pennyvenie No. 1 Pit 1 does strike home (No. 193), as does the death of a young shepherd in a snowstorm (No. 217).
